Day 40: Happy 6 week birthday Bella baby!!

Today at 7 pm, Miss Bella will have made her mark for 6 weeks. Happy birthday Bella...Brother Dylan and us are going to celebrate by going to see Toy Story 3 this evening. He loves your weekly birthday celebrations Bella...

Sweet girl is doing well today. Her blood gases are improving and she is getting full feedings of 12 cc's every 3 hours. That makes us happy! They tried starting her on some fortifiers for additional calories but we just noticed some swelling in her stomach so she may not be handling that well. They have stopped for now and may resume with smaller doses later.
This week we pray to see those lungs get better, regenerating new lung tissue and getting healthy...Dr says that this can be achieved with plenty of nourishment..
Still watching, waiting and continuously praying...Thank you God for these glorious 6 weeks, she is amazing...strong...beautiful...and brave ..

Happy 6 weeks Birthday little Bella. Our Precious and All powerful heavenly father, Thank you once again for yet another day, another miracle.Thank you Father for improving Bella's blood gases and showing all another miracle, Reach into Bella's body and make the tissue begin to grow in her lungs. Thank you Father for helping Bella to be able to consume more nutrition and grow more with each passing day. Please Father breathe into her lungs and help them heal and grow . Hold tight to her and her family Father and lead them to where you want them to go and be in this world together. May the angels wings flutter ever so gently around Bella and her family and caress them anytime they are feeling any stress and give them comfort knowing you and your angels are there with them in the NICU as well as in their hearts, minds and home. Let them feel your strength as you hold them in their time of need and let them feel you lift them up and carry them when the burdens seems too much to handle. In your precious name we ask.AMEN God bless the little children and God Bless Bella and her family and all who have a hand in her care.God Bless all who helped with the Benefit for Bella wheather it was in person , spirit or prayers

  2. A friend of mine saw your story on Fox 17 news and directed me to your blog. On 2-27-08, I gave birth to twins (boy & girl) @ 24 weeks, they weighed 1.2lbs (Lily) & 1.6lbs (Gavin). They both had Chronic Lung Disease, came home on oxygen & apnea monitors, my son had a Grade I bleed, and has had 2 eye surgeries since coming home from the NICU but overall, they are doing fabulous! We spent 117 days in the NICU, and there were days that people would tell me, "it will get better, it won't last forever" and I didn't believe it then, but they were right, we've came so far from 2 years ago. They are living miracles and proof of the power of prayer. When were going home, one of the NICU Dr.'s who had told us numerous times to prepare for the ablsolute worst said to us "I never thought I would see them leaving here like they are". I just wanted you all to know that I will be praying for you daily & will be following your journey.

God Bless you & your family.
