Day 26
Bella is doing ok, but her kidneys are not functioning once again. We did find out that the antibiotics she's getting to treat the yeast could play a part in this, so that's hopeful. We received some great news this evening - Bella finally had a head ultrasound and she's had no bleeding in her brain. When her platelet count dropped so low last week, we were told that a bleed could have very well occurred. We're extremely thankful for this! No other changes. We just need to kick this infection so we can get the kidney's back on track and then treat the PDA in the heart. We're coming up on 1 month!

ReplyDeleteA friend of mine just went through this exact same thing in Iowa. Had her daughter Harper at 1lb. 2oz at 23 weeks and guess what....she went home to be with her Mommy, Daddy and big brother on Friday after 76 days! So keep the faith.
I think of you everyday and send love and prayers. You are an inspiration to me.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful family. Praise the Lord and thank you father for no brain bleeds.Please take the yeast infection from little Bella's body we pray and heal her kidneys to work again. Please father let this little miracle show the world your power and bring her home to her mommy, daddy and big brother when she is all healed , strong , and smiling at her family to show all the glory of GOD. May the angels continue to wrap their wings ever so softly around Bella and sing sweet heavenly lullabys into her tiny ears while she rests and heals. Please hold her in your all powerful hands and keep her safe. Please continue to hold tight to the Cobb family and give them the strength they need each day as Bella grows and heals .
